How does my HVAC unit work?
A furnace and air conditioner work together as part of a home's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system to regulate the temperature. The furnace heats the air in the winter, while the air conditioner cools the air in the summer. How they work together:
- Furnace: Heats air using fans and coils. A thermostat controls the furnace, turning it on and off based on the temperature.
- Air conditioner: Cools air by removing heat and humidity from the home.
- Ductwork and vents: The HVAC system's ductwork and vents move air throughout the home
